Why does my face feel tight after washing?
Tightness after washing usually means a cleanser has removed more of your skin's natural oils than it needed to, so water leaves the skin more easily. Very hot water can add to it. CleanSer is soap free and sulfate free, and is made to clean without stripping those oils. Clients often tell us their skin feels soft, with a gentle sheen, afterwards.
What is a hydrating cleanser?
A hydrating cleanser removes makeup, dirt and oil while leaving your skin's own moisture in place, rather than washing it away. CleanSer does this with a gentle cleansing agent derived from coconut, red seaweed and glycerin, and without soap.
What does soap free mean in a face wash?
Soap is made by combining oils or fats with an alkali, and it tends to sit at a higher pH than skin. A soap free face wash cleans with other cleansing agents instead. CleanSer is soap free and sulfate free: it cleans with Sodium N-Cocoyl L-Glutamate, a gentle cleansing agent derived from coconut.
Does face wash remove makeup, or do I need a makeup remover?
It depends on the face wash. Many are made for dirt and oil, and heavier makeup may need a remover first. CleanSer is made to remove makeup as it cleanses, so for everyday makeup it can be your evening cleanse: a nickel sized amount massaged over damp skin, then rinsed with warm water.
What is Sodium N-Cocoyl L-Glutamate?
It is an amino acid based cleansing agent, made from coconut fatty acids and glutamic acid, an amino acid. It contains no sulfates. In CleanSer it is the main cleansing ingredient, listed directly after water.
How often should you wash your face, and how much cleanser should you use?
Twice a day, morning and evening, is the usual rhythm. The American Academy of Dermatology also advises washing your face after heavy sweating. With CleanSer, a nickel sized amount in your hand is enough for the whole face.
Does CleanSer have a scent? Is it fragrance free?
CleanSer has a soft coconut scent. It is not fragrance free: fragrance is listed in its ingredients. If your skin reacts to fragrance, try it first on a small area.
How long does a 4 oz tube of CleanSer last?
